Meter

Turns hours into invoices

Do your monthly billing in 10 minutes. Meter is your billing department. It audits the time your team logs, checks that it is appropriate for the task requested, and turns approved time and delivered quotes into invoices in your accounting system. It also keeps every contractor's paperwork and pay rate in one secure place.

01 · Billing

Audited time,
clean invoices

  • Every hour audited. Long entries, long days, overlaps, duplicates, short notes on long jobs and late entries are flagged before anything is billed.
  • Checked against the task. Meter compares the time logged with the work described and highlights anything out of line.
  • Fix it in place. Managers mark a flag OK with a note, correct an entry or add one, and every change is kept in an audit trail.
  • Built-in accounting integration. Approved time and delivered hardware become QuickBooks invoices, numbered in one sequence.
  • A 7 AM heads-up. Managers get a morning email listing any new flags.
02 · Contractors

Paperwork,
handled

  • Document vault. W-9s, agreements, NDAs and insurance certificates stored privately and opened only through short-lived links.
  • Expiry reminders. A weekly email lists insurance certificates that have expired or are about to.
  • Pay rates. Each contractor's rate and company, used by billing automatically, with every change logged.
  • Vendors too. Companies that supply technicians are set up once, with each person's time matched to them.
  • Billable hours your way. By client and by technician for any date range, exported to Excel.

Pay rates and contractor documents are visible to accounting only, and every change is logged with who made it and when.
